Galloping through the Maasduinen
You start the riding- and drivingroute at manege Bergemo on a paved road, but soon you enter the forest area of the Maasduinen. This is a long stretched nature reserve named after how it came into being. In fact, water played the biggest role in the creation of the Maasduinen. Now you can still find traces of the Rijn, but of course also of the Maas.
Castles & Lakes Riding Route
From node 48 you will have a beautiful view of fields with lakes and ponds. Your path continues in the direction of Rimpelt. Here you will cross the Eckeltsche Beek and re-enter the forest.
At the height of the golf courses you have a view over two large lakes on the left and here you also pass Bleijenbeek Castle. The entrance bridge was restored in 2020 and other parts of the castle are also scheduled to be restored.
You continue through the forest and through the Lange Ven you return to the starting point.
